Police charge two women with prostitution at Montville massage parlor
Montville ― One local and one New York woman were charged Thursday with prostitution-related crimes after local and East Lyme police, and the Department of Homeland Security Investigations Division searched the Healing Day Spa at 1031 Route 32.
During the search, police seized numerous items related to massage therapy, cash, computers, records and cellphones.
As a result, Ming Li, 59, of 4 Depot Road, Apt. B, was charged with second-degree promotion of prostitution. She was released on a $10,000 bond.
Li and a co-worker were charged with prostitution during a similar investigation of the same massage parlor in 2020.
Jinhong Huang, 57, of Flushing, N.Y., was also charged Thursday with violation of massage therapy license requirements and prostitution, and released on a $5,000 nonsurety bond. Both women are due in Norwich Superior Court March 21.
