Colchester ― A 39-year-old Andover woman involved in a crash on Tuesday and pulled from her burning vehicle by bystanders has died from her injuries, state police said.

Alycia R. Ziegler of 273 Hebron Road in Andover was pronounced deceased as the result of injuries sustained in a 5:36 p.m. crash on Route 85, near the intersection of Village Court, police said. Ziegler was traveling north in a 2020 Subaru Ascent when the vehicle, for an unknown reason, crossed over the southbound lane where it struck a large tree and caught fire, police said.

Ziegler was pulled out of the vehicle by bystanders. She was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
