Person injured in fall from roof in New London

New London ― One person was taken to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon for treatment of injuries sustained in a fall from a roof on Hempstead Street.

New London fire and police personnel responded shortly after 3 p.m. for reports of a person who had jumped from the roof of a two-story building in the area of 190 Hempstead St. Fire officials confirmed one person was taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.

Police provided no further information about the incident.
