Beach bar brawl leads to six arrests in Old Lyme
Old Lyme – A fight on Thursday at The Pavilion, a popular bar near Soundview Beach, led to one injury and six arrests, state police said.
The disturbance at the 85 Swan Ave. bar was reported to police at 8:13 p.m. State police said they responded with aid from officers from law enforcement agencies in surrounding towns.
An investigation led to six people charged with second-degree breach of peace. Two of the six were additionally charged with resisting arrest.
Charged with breach of peace in the incident was Imani F. Seymour, 21, of Wethersfield; Tanya L. Gonzalez, 42, of New Britain; Michael T. Gutierrez, 47, of Groton; Amaya Daeshel, 24, of Manchester; Shayala N. Alston, 22, of New Britain; and Maria Gonzalez, 34, of New Britain.
Alston and Maria Gonzalez were additionally charged with resisting arrest and released on $1,000 bonds. Gutierrez was taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital by Old Lyme EMS for treatment of a reported injury.
All of the those who were charged are scheduled to appear July 5 in New London Superior Court.
