    Old Saybrook Police Incident Report for Aug. 10

    The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Tuesday, Aug. 10Police correspondent Jason J. Marchi compiles the Police Incident Report.

    • No arrests were made.

    • A 25 year-old Old Lyme man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:14 p.m. for reckless operation of a motor vehicle on Route 1 near Main Street.

    • From August 4 to 10 Old Saybrook police also issued eight citations to motorists for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, three citations for traveling unreasonably fast, two citations for operating a moped on a sidewalk, and two citations for speeding/wake violation on the Connecticut River. One citation was issued for each of the following: failure to grant right of way, operating a motor vehicle without a license, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
