    Westbrook Police Incident Report for Sept. 17 to 21

    The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.     • No arrests were made.

    • A 30 year-old man of Astoria, New York was issued a verbal warning at 1:34 a.m. for traveling too fast for conditions after he lost control of his 2007 Lincoln Town Car on wet pavement. No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident.

    • A 29 year-old man of Woods Edge Lane and a 39 year-old man of a neighboring residence were arrested at 8:10 p.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and breach of peace following an incident that escalated into both parties physically assaulting each other. Both men sustained injuries and each man was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond pending a Sept. 28 court date.

    • A larceny was investigated at 314 Flat Rock Place by Officer Joseph Brennan during the afternoon hours.
