    Guilford Police Incident Report for Sept. 22

    The Guilford Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in town. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for length and content.Wednesday, Sept. 22From Sept. 16 through Sept. 22 the Guilford Police Department received 243 calls for service. Police made five arrests, investigated 12 motor vehicle accidents, issued 16 infractions, 29 written warnings and three verbal warnings. Police made three child safety seat installations.     • A 33 year-old Clinton resident was charged on a warrant with third-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and criminal violation of a protective order.

    • Suspicious activity, someone ringing doorbells at residence, State Street, 300 block, 12:59 a.m.

    • A Timberlands trail sign was found on the ground by a stop sign at the intersection of Boston Street and Soundview Road.

    • An incident involving forged checks was reported by a Guilford technologies business.

    • A passport was found in the parking lot at Wal*Mart, 900 Boston Post Road.

    • A report of suspicious activity involving someone trying to pick up a student, was made at Guilford High School, 1:58 p.m.

    • Family dispute, Village Pond Road, 3:34 p.m.

    • Theft, fishing poles taken from boat at Bayberry Marina, Chaffinch Island Road.

    • A person reported finding two knives on Boston Post Road, 2770 block; which the caller then kicked onto Moose Hill Road.

    • A person reported being knocked down by two pit bulls while he was taking out the trash and holding a dog, Woodland Road, 6:57 p.m.
