• A motor vehicle accident without injuries was investigated on Route 81 near Route 148 by Trooper Derek Allen at 6:23 p.m.

• A 39 year-old Durham man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 7:08 a.m. for evading responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle (fleeing the scene of an accident) and failure to drive in the proper lane of a multiple lane highway. He was traveling westbound on Route 148 when he failed to negotiate a left curve and went off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle rolled onto its left side before coming to final rest in the front yard of 901 Route 148. The operator fled the scene and was later located unhurt at a residence in Killingworth.
