Deep River Police Incident Report for Jan. 1 to 3

The Valley Courier publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Essex, Deep River, and Chester. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Saturday, Jan. 1Sunday, Jan. 2 - Monday, Jan. 3Senior correspondent Jason J. Marchi compiles the Police Incident Report.

    • A 26 year-old Clinton man was arrested at 4:36 a.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive in the proper lane of a multiple lane highway. The accused failed a standardized field sobriety test after the vehicle he was operating southbound on Main Street veered out of its lane and struck three parked vehicles in front of 92 Main Street. The accused was released on a $500 non-surety bond pending a Jan. 13 court date.

    • No arrests were made and no incidents were reported.
