    North Branford Police Incident Report for Feb. 14 and 15

    The Sound publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Branford and North Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content. Monday, Feb. 14Tuesday, Feb. 15Senior correspondent Jason J.     • No arrests were made.

    • A 24 year-old North Haven man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 10:34 p.m. for speeding at over 60 miles per hour on a secondary road. He was operating a white 1994 Chevy S10 pick-up truck.

    • An 18 year-old West Haven woman was issued a citation at 9:32 a.m. for creating a public disturbance.

    • No arrests were made.

    • From Feb. 9 to 15 North Branford police also issued nine citations to motorists for failure to obey a stop sign, eight citations for using a hand-held cell phone while driving, six citations for traveling unreasonably fast, two citations for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, and two citations for operating an motor vehicle without a driver’s license. Once citation was issued for each of the following: failure to grant right of way; failure to carry a driver’s license; failure to obey a control signal; operating an unregistered motor vehicle; failure to drive in the proper lane of a multiple lane highway; and failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat.
