    Clinton Police Incident Report fo April 18 and 19

    The Harbor News publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Old Saybrook. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

    Wednesday, April 18

    • A 46 year-old Madison man was issued a misdemeanor summons at 3:38 p.m. for possession of less than ½ ounce of marijuana and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

    • Identity theft was investigated on River Road at 9:35 a.m.

    • A larceny was investigated on Killingworth Turnpike at 4:49 p.m.

    • Harassment was investigated on Glenwood Road on Liberty Street.

    • Shoplifting was investigated on East Main Street at 7:28 p.m.

    • A larceny was investigated on Old Post Road at 9:02 p.m.

    Thursday, April 19

    • A 53 year-old Essex man was arrested at 2:33 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree and possession of a shoplifting device.

    • A 28 year-old woman of East Elmhurst, New York was arrested at 3:57 p.m. and charged with breach of peace and possession of a shoplifting device following the report of suspicious activity at a Killingworth Turnpike retail establishment. In the same incident a 27 year-old man of Corona, New York was charged with larceny in the fifth degree and operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license.

    • Criminal mischief was investigated on East Main Street at 1:23 p.m.
