    Killingworth Police Incident Report for May 19 and 20

    The Source publishes a Police Incident Report to inform residents of incidents, criminal activities, and police responses occurring in Madison and Killingworth. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty, the report does not include names. It may be edited for space and content.

    Saturday, May 19

    • No arrests were made.

    • An 18 year-old Higganum man was issued a written warning at 12:28 p.m. for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart after the 1995 Toyota Camry he was operating northbound on Route 81 struck the rear of a 2000 Toyota Camry operated by a 59 year-old woman of Old Bedford Farms Road. The Toyota was pushed into the rear of a 2008 Jeep Wrangler operated by a 69 year-old man of Cranberry Meadow Lane. The 59 year-old woman was transported to Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Middletown for evaluation.

    Sunday, May 20

    • No arrests were made.

    • At 4:34 a.m. Trooper Derek Smitt reported that an unidentified vehicle was operated southbound of Roast Meat Hill Road about 1/10th of a mile south of Stevens Road when it struck a mailbox at #119 Roast Meat Hill Road. The offending driver fled the scene. The case remains under investigation.

    • A suspicious person report was investigated on Emanuel Church Road by Trooper Christopher Francis at 6:05 p.m.
