    Groton man charged in connection with three Baker's Cove burglaries

    Groton -- City police arrested a local man Friday after the say he broke into a boathouse and then tried to enter two homes in the Baker's Cove neighborhood.

    Bennie Gray Jr., 20, 112 Brandegee Ave., was charged with third-degree burglary, two counts of criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and two counts of breach of peace.

    Police said they were investigating a complaint of a burglary/larceny on Baker's Cove Road and located Gray in the area. Police said he entered a boathouse and stole a flotation device and was seen attempting to get into two other homes.

    The day before, on Thursday, police charged him with interfering with a police officer and second-degree breach of peace.
