Section of Route 214 in Ledyard reopens after car crash

Ledyard — Crews closed a portion of state Route 214 for several hours Monday evening after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole.

The road was closed between Whalehead Road and state Route 117 until about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday so crews could replace the pole.

The state Department of Transportation said the wreck involved one car. Police said no one was injured in the crash.
