    New London police union to begin annual fundraiser

    New London — The New London Police Union Local 724 will begin its annual telephonic fundraiser on July 13.

    Donations help the union sponsor various local charities, organizations and initiatives that include National Night Out, Carter Scholarship, Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Bank, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Wounded Warrior, Neighborhood Alliance’s adopt a family Christmas gift and toy drive and a New London High School nonalcoholic senior party.

    Representatives from TCI America will be calling to solicit donations for the union. The fundraising campaign generally lasts about six weeks and TCI will send representatives to collect the donations.

    The 67 members of the New London police union in turn give monies back to the community through the various outlets.
