Mohegan Sun-bound performer arrested at Bradley International

Country singer Gretchen Wilson, arrested Tuesday night as she got off a plane at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, was scheduled to appear at a private event Wednesday night at Mohegan Sun.

The show was "still on," a Mohegan Sun spokesman said early Wednesday afternoon.

State police were dispatched to the airport in response to a call about a "minor disturbance" aboard an incoming American Airlines flight, according to a police report. While interviewing Wilson on the jetway linking the aircraft and the airport terminal, “she became belligerent towards the troopers, and caused a disturbance,” police said.

Wilson, 45, of Lebanon, Tenn., was charged with second-degree breach of peace and later was scheduled to appear Sept. 13 in Superior Court in Enfield.

Reportedly, Wilson was involved in an altercation with another passenger on the flight.

Her first single, "Redneck Woman," was released in early 2004 and was a hit on the country charts.
