Body found in water at State Pier in New London

New London -- State police say they recovered a body in the water at State Pier on Monday at 2:45 p.m.
Detectives from CSP Eastern District Major Crime squad also responded to the scene. State police, who said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy, said the incident “appears to be non-criminal.” No other details were available.
A short distance away on Aug. 15, emergency personnel found the body of an unidentified woman in her mid- to late 50s floating in the water underneath City Pier.
