Police charge man in robbery of Norwich restaurant
Norwich — Police on Monday charged a 35-year-old Baltic man in connection with the armed robbery of Mr. Pan’s Chinese Restaurant.
Matthew K. Dubicki, of 83 Main St., was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and second-degree failure to appear in court in connection with the Oct. 19 robbery.
Police say Dubicki entered the restaurant at 337 Old Canterbury Turnpike at 10:18 p.m., pointed a gun at a clerk and removed money from the cash register.
Held on a $265,000 bond, Dubicki was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Norwich Superior Court.
Police could not disclose how much was stolen. Police released a security photo of the suspect following the robbery. Police did not release information on how Dubicki was identified as a suspect or the circumstances of his arrest Monday.
