Waterford police charge man in stabbing

Waterford — Police said they responded Thursday afternoon to a residence after neighbors reported that an individual had been stabbed.

The victim was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

David Luzietti, 70, of 3 Thrush Street, was charged with second-degree assault in connection with the investigation. He was held on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Friday.

"This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community at this time," police said.
