Police identify motorcyclist killed in Sunday crash as Montville man
East Lyme — Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash Sunday afternoon as Frank Barabas, 42, of Montville.
East Lyme Police Chief Michael Finkelstein said Barabas was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the other vehicle, East Lyme resident Kimberly Zoller, 37, was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for observation.
Around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, the motorcyclist was killed when he struck a car that had turned into his path on Route 1, around 516 Boston Post Road, police said.
The East Lyme Police Department, Flanders Fire Department, Waterford Police Department and Office of the Chief Medical Examiner responded.
The accident remains under investigation, and the East Lyme Police Department is encouraging any witnesses to contact them at (860) 739-5900.
