Norwich — Police said Wednesday that they are seeking information to identify an individual who left a dog outside the dog pound earlier this month.

Police, in a Facebook post that included a photo at bit.ly/NPDdogpost, said they responded about 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, to a dog tied with a leash to the outside railing of the pound.

"We are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the subject who abandoned the dog without any notice," the post said. "Any information leading to his identity can remain anonymous but should be directed to Animal Control Officer Donna Gremminger" at (860) 887-5747.
