Silver Alert canceled after Ledyard man safely located
Ledyard — Police say a Ledyard man reportedly missing for almost a week was located safely on Wednesday night.
Police had issued a Silver Alert for Matthew Powaleny, 38, on Wednesday evening, saying he'd been missing since Sept. 5.
Police canceled the alert a few hours later, and police on Thursday morning confirmed that Powaleny had been found safe.
