Groton City police release additional information about missing 14-year-old girl

Groton -- Groton City police have released additional information about Nyah Hilliard, a 14-year-old teenage girl, who they issued a silver alert for when she went missing from Groton early on Oct. 18.

Hilliard is described as black, 5-feet, 8 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes and weighing about 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red Nike hoody with a black stripe on the front along with white sandals and light blue jeans while carrying a black backpack.

The latest info from Groton City police, posted on its Facebook page, is that Hilliard has been seen recently in New London “with a male who is a boyfriend that we have not definitively identified.”

The post also said Hilliard was possibly in Norwich recently “with male friends reputed to have connections to the City of New York.”

According to the Facebook post, any information on where Hilliard may be should be given to Youth Officer Scott Lesage, Officer Jason Hauptman or the department’s Detective Division. Calls can be made to (860) 445-2451. The department added it is “very concerned” for Hilliard.
