Police recover two stolen cars, one owned by New London city councilor

New London — City police have arrested two juveniles on charges connected to the theft of two different vehicles this week, including one owned by City Councilor Efrain Dominguez.

The two vehicles were located Monday in the parking lot of 163 State Pier Road. Dominguez’s vehicle was stolen on Jan. 26 in front of his Terrace Avenue home and the other, on Truman Street on Jan. 23.

Dominguez said aside from a few dents, his car was recovered in decent shape. He credits neighbors for providing information that led to an arrest.

Police provided no further information.
