Part of Banning Road in East Haddam closed due to motor vehicle accident

East Haddam — A downed pole closed part of Banning Road about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

A portion of road between Banning and Ferry roads is closed due to a motor vehicle collision with a utility pole, according to Connecticut State Police Troop K dispatch. Fire and police personnel are at the scene.
Troop K did not have further details at this time.
