    Three Norwich men charged after altercation

    Norwich — Three men face charges stemming from an altercation at a Broadway residence Thursday, in which one person allegedly used a kitchen knife and caused a minor injury to one of the participants, police say.

    Alexander L. Shambley, 47, of 87 Hickory St. was charged at 2:20 p.m. Thursday with breach of peace, attempted first-degree assault and possession of drug paraphernalia. He additionally was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct based on a warrant in another incident, police said. He was held on a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear March 19 in Norwich Superior Court.

    Nelson Munoz, 21, of 35 Boswell Ave., Apt. 1, and Kenneth Munoz, 20, of 36 McKinley Ave., Apt. 2, each was charged with breach of peace and held on a $5,000 bond. They are scheduled to appear March 26 in Norwich Superior Court.

    Police said the three were involved in a physical altercation in which Shambley allegedly used a kitchen knife and caused a minor injury to one of the others.
