UPDATED: Falling boulder traps man in Jewett City

Griswold — A large boulder fell on a man's leg, pinning him to the ground by the train tracks near Wedgewood Drive in Jewett City on Thursday evening, according to Connecticut State Police.
The first call came in at 5:55 p.m. Police said first responders were working to free the man but he was alert and conscious.
Police said the man was extricated at 8:27 p.m. and transported to by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital. He remained conscious and alert, police said, and his injuries appeared to not be life-threatening.
