Groton — There were no injuries following a dump truck rollover on Route 184 on Tuesday morning, Old Mystic Fire Department Chief Ken Richards said.

It appears a car was turning left into the Haley Brook plaza at 2414 Gold Star Highway, and in trying to avoid the car, the dump truck rolled on its side, Richards said. The incident occurred at 8:36 a.m.

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was called in due to a minor diesel and hydraulic leak on the truck, Richards said, but that was taken care of and cleaned up. He said the road reopened about 11:45 a.m.

In the meantime, traffic was directed through the Haley Brook Market parking lot.

Also responding to the accident were Mystic River Ambulance, Groton Town police and the state Department of Transportation.
