Griswold — State police are seeking the driver of a 2010 Suzuki Kizashi after the person allegedly fled a fiery crash early Friday morning on Route 164 at Burton Road.

State police at Troop E in Montville said the vehicle was traveling north on Route 164 at 2 a.m. Friday, when the driver lost control, ran off the roadway into the right shoulder and struck an Eversource utility pole. After the vehicle came to a rest, it became engulfed in flames, police said, and the operator left the scene. Police said the driver had “no apparent injury.”
