Groton City

Alex Smith-Staples, 21, of 310 Mitchell St., No. F3, was charged Saturday with violation of protective order, second-degree breach of peace and interfering with a police officer.

Justin Degroat, 32, of 175 Hynes Ave. was charged Friday with violation of protective order.

Stonington

Francis M. Herbert, 39, homeless, was charged Thursday with two counts of violation of a protective order, second-degree breach of peace, fifth-degree larceny, second-degree unlawful retraint, violation of conditions of release and impersonatinag a police officer.

Alexis Castanon, 36, of 181 Palmer Neck Road, Pawcatuck, was charged Saturday with third-degree assault, first-degree strangulation, first-degree unlawful restraint. second-degree breach of peace, interfering with a police officer and failure to comply with fingerprinting.

Philip T. Acosta, 30, of 8 Lincoln Ave., Apt. 1, Pawcatuck, was charged Sunday with criminal violation of a protective order and second-degree breach of peace.

Waterford

Nicholas Ferrara, 20, of Guilford, was charged Saturday with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Damaris Rivera, 39, of 91 Great Neck Road was charged Saturday with second-degree failure to appear in court.
