Westerly police identify man killed in motorcycle crash

Westerly — Police have identified the man killed Saturday night when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck as Angelo F. Pascuzzi, of Westerly and New Britain.

Police also identified the injured passenger on his motorcyle as Tamal Facas, 50, of Westerly. They said she is in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital.

Police did not identify the driver of the pickup, who was not injured, but said that person is cooperating with the investigation.

The accident occurred at 7:09 p.m. at the intersection of Shore and Langworthy roads. Police said they found Pascuzzi and Facas with serious injuries and provided emergency first aid until other first responders arrived. Pascuzzi was transported to Westerly Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Facas was transported to the parking lot of the Walmart in Westerly, where a Life Star helicopter picked her up and transported her to R.I. Hospital Trauma Center.

The Westerly police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating.
