New London police investigate report of bullet holes in residence

New London — Police said they responded Tuesday morning to a report of bullet holes inside of a residence in the area of Cleveland Street and are continuing to investigate.

After responding at 7 a.m. to the report of possible bullet holes inside of a residence, police said they found “items of evidence supporting the initial report." Police also found “multiple shell casings” in the area, and members of the Investigative Services Divisions responded to investigate.

“The incident does not appear to be a random act and no injuries were reported as a result,” police said.
