Griswold — Bianca Rodriguez, a 29-year-old woman from Brooklyn, Conn., died in a car crash in Griswold on Wednesday, state police said.

She was driving behind a tractor-trailer in the left lane of two on Interstate 395 south at 2:28 p.m. Wednesday, state police said. The tractor-trailer slowed as it approached the Route 164 overpass, and the front of Rodriguez's Nissan Rogue collided with the back of the tractor-trailer.

Police said Rodriguez died as the result of the accident, and the driver of the tractor-trailer — 51-year-old Johnni Evangelista of Cumberland, R.I. — was not injured.

The accident report indicated there were no passengers in either vehicle.

Police said the incident is under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Nathan Collier at (860) 848-6500.
