Police make arrests following shelter-in-place order in Griswold

Griswold — State police made two arrests after ordering Ashland Street residents to shelter in place Monday evening, they said.
Trooper Josh Chivers said there was a handgun involved, the incident was isolated to one apartment and no one was injured. He said there was no threat to the public.
Police issued the alert shortly after 5 p.m., ordering all residents of Ashland Street to stay inside while an investigation was being conducted. Within an hour, the shelter-in-place order was canceled. Ashland Street remained closed.
