Even in a sellers’ market, it’s important that coming-soon sellers make their homes look their best, both inside and out. William Raveis Realtor Carollen Speer explains why a little sprucing-up of outdoor living areas may be a smart pre-listing investment:

“It’s safe to say, since the height of the pandemic, we have a new appreciation for the great outdoors. Buyers take note of desirable outdoor spaces, and reports suggest buyers may pay up to 7% more for a home with curb appeal. First impressions go a long way! Refresh the chipping paint on the front door; update the hardware; hang a seasonally inspired wreath, and if there is room for a rocking chair or bench, add it! Cohesively follow through in the backyard, patio or deck. Outdoor dining and entertainment can stretch from spring to fall with a fire pit, cozy sectional and outdoor lighting. Ditch the mismatched furniture, add greenery, and go simply inviting.”
