    According to the National Association of Realtors, 57% of Realtors rely on social media today for marketing listings and their own brands. Realtor Samantha Smith, with William Pitt Sotheby’s, explains why social media is also a valuable tool for prospective home buyers today:

    “Having an active online presence is a must for Realtors today. Social-media networking enables us to reach far beyond most traditional marketing methods and our own personal networks. Followers can stay informed about new listings, without feeling pressured to sign up for an email newsletter or schedule a showing. Realtors’ social media pages are also a great resource for market data and insight into local communities and neighborhoods. This can be particularly helpful for buyers as they begin their home search.”
