For buyers moving to southeast Connecticut for the first time, it’s important to become familiar with the region’s diverse and nuanced towns and neighborhoods. Realtor Elizabeth Johnstone offered some suggestions on things to consider when choosing where to search for a home:

“First, determine your price point. Look into the property taxes. Is the town walkable? Does it have parks, nature trails, public water access, proximity to a beach? Check out Neighborhoodscout.com and Profiles.CTdata.org for demographic and economic information. If possible, spend time in the towns that interest you.”
