A Welcome Home reader asked what happens when a seller and their Realtor disagree on the value of the property and the list price. Broker Tara Crossley explains how this conflict can be resolved by considering and discussing a number of things about the property and market:
“I work together with a seller to come up with a competitive sale price using nearby comparable properties, location, finishes, upgrades, what is owed on a property, and the seller’s personal goals. All of this factors into the list price. Some homes are priced in accordance with how much the seller owes to the lien holder. Keep in mind, in this sellers’ market, it’s not always price that wins an offer on a home, it’s often terms!”
