    Sound Advice 02-23-24

Social media has become integral to so many aspects of our lives today, and it can be helpful if you plan to buy or sell a home. Realtor Jacqueline Hoyt explains why following local Realtors’ social feeds can alert you of new listings, property values and market trends:

“Before social media, people searched for homes in newspapers, magazines or by calling a brokerage like Coldwell Banker. Today, everything is accessible at your fingertips—at any time—on our smartphones. It provides a quick way to search for homes. Whether it be Facebook, Instagram, or another social media platform, you have access to an array of agents who may have just listed a home for sale—or is celebrating a home they’ve sold. It’s a great tool to make an online introduction and send a quick message to ask questions about the market in a particular area the buyer or seller is interested in or set up a meeting with a Realtor or multiple Realtors to interview.”
