A Welcome Home reader asked how easy it is to rent a house in the current local market, especially if you’re between selling a home and buying or building a new one. Realtor Greg Broadbent explains:

“Most landlords are looking for a year-long lease. Short-term rentals and flexible leases are possible, but during the summer months, you would be paying summer rates in many coastal communities. There are a lot of options in the winter months or further away from the shore. Rentals are actually relatively common; they just get rented quickly if they are good properties for affordable pricing.”
