Norwich — Peter Sherwood drove in five runs as No. 2 East Lyme advanced to the Eastern Connecticut Conference baseball tournament championship game with a 15-0 win over No. 3 St. Bernard on Thursday at Dodd Stadium.

The Vikings (19-3) led 13-0 after three innings in the game, which ended in five innings on a mercy rule. East Lyme plays No. 1 Woodstock Academy in the final on Friday at 6 p.m.

Gavin O’Brien doubled, tripled, scored three runs and drove in three runs, Alex Dreyfus was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and three RBI and Sherwood was 2-for-3 with a double. Connor Tukey scored three runs and John Bureau doubled and scored twice for the Vikings.

Joe Stawski pitched a two-hitter for the win. He struck out five and walked five. Luca Muscarella and Martin Light had hits for the Saints (18-4).

In other games:

• Top-seeded Woodstock jumped out to a 6-1 lead after three innings and held on to beat No. 13 Fitch 7-6. Marcus McGregor drove in three runs and Keon Lamarche and Riley O’Brien had two RBI each for the Centaurs (19-3). Donte Valentine had two hits and drove in a run for the Falcons while Dylan Meyer had a hit and two RBI.

• Grasso Tech advanced to the Connecticut Technical Conference tournament final with a 10-6 win over top-seeded Wilcox Tech on Wednesday. The No. 4 Eagles (12-10) will play No. 2 Abbott Tech in the tournament final on Friday at Palmer Field in Middletown at 6 p.m.

Gabe Grossman pitched 6.1 innings for the win, allowing eight hits with four strikeouts. Reynaldo Hidalgo was 3-for-3 with three RBI and a two-run single in the first inning for Grasso. Jaivon Velez and Grossman had two hits each and Gabriel Castillo drove in two runs for the Eagles.

Boys’ golf

• Stonington beat NFA 6-1 at Elmridge Golf Course. NFA’s Nick Wigfield and Connor Tavares of Stonington shared medalist honors at 41. Ethan Torres (42), Cameron O’Connor (44), Dane Yaworsky (45) and Tavares won their matches for the Bears (11-4). Wigfield got the point for NFA (11-6). Stonington took the medal point, 170-179.

Girls’ golf

• East Lyme’s Mary Haburay was the medalist as the Vikings beat Stonington 223-257in an ECC match. Haburay shot a 52 and teammate Lola Hoffer had a 54. Stonington was led by Adilyn Risley’s 62.

Girls’ track

• Old Lyme’s Chase Gilbert won three events, one in record fashion, as the Wildcats finished third in the Shoreline Conference meet at East Hampton on Wednesday. Gilbert, a freshman, set the meet record in the 1600 with a time of 4:57.59. She also won the 800 (2:18.48) and 3200 (11:36.93).

Also winning titles for Old Lyme were Zoe Eastman-Grossel and Tabitha Colwell. Eastman-Grossel won the 100 hurdles in 15.5 and Colwell won the long jump at 15 feet, 3 inches. They made all-conference by winning their events along with Gilbert and the 4x800 relay team of Lyla Powers, Kate Walsh, Gillian Mileswki and Maddy Morgado, who won in 10:01.54.

Boys’ track

• Old Lyme finished fifth in the Shoreline Conference meet on Wednesday at East Hampton but had two individual winners. Jacob Volkerts won the 100 with a time of 10.93 and Dylan Sheehan won the shot put with a put of 53-7.75. They both made all-conference with the wins.
