New London — Chas Terni Jr. of Montville was 4-for-4 with two doubles and drove in four runs as Mitchell College beat Norwich University 8-2 in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference baseball game on Sunday.

Terni, a freshman, hit a three-run double in the third inning to put the Mariners up 3-1. Adam Vartanian was 4-for-5 and stole three bases and Angel Gallindez was 3-for-5 and scored twice for Mitchell (10-6, 2-0).

Starter Thai-ler Sestokas and Nicholas Strojny combined to pitch a six-hitter with eight strikeouts. Strojny, who pitched the last six innings, got the win.
