East Lyme — Michelle Liu outlasted Isabella Villarreal, 6-4, 5-7, 7-5, at No. 2 singles to help Waterford defeat East Lyme, 5-2, in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I girls’ tennis match on Monday.

Sarah Hage and Ava Tinnerello also won their singles matches in straight sets for the Lancers (3-0, 1-0). The No. 1 doubles duo of Angela Rodriquez and Hazel Siu and No. 2 duo of Maple Siu and Brianna Kilcomons also won.

Jessica Feng won at No. 4 singles for the Vikings (0-1, 0-1).

In other girls’ matches:

• Old Lyme earned its 72nd straight victory, beating Portland, 7-0, in the Shoreline Conference. Elaina Morosky, Katherine Zhang, Emma Arelt and Rose Dimmock won their singles matches in straight sets for the Wildcats (6-0, 6-0).

Boys’ tennis

• Benny Wu, Danny Zhong, Ryan Yang and Adam Gallagher all won their singles matches in straight sets in Montville’s 7-0 shutout of Norwich Free Academy. The doubles duo of Jack Bowman-Ryan Hochdorfer and Nathan Dhillon-Zack Thomas also posted wins for the Wolves (3-0). The Wildcats fell to 0-3.

• Ledyard swept Lyman Memorial, 7-0, receiving singles wins Sebastian Fieldsend, Malloch Allison, Clark Ysewyn and Ben Wolford. The Colonels are 2-1 overall, the Bulldogs 0-3.

• Chris Matsas won in three sets at No. 1 singles in Waterford’s 5-2 victory over Fitch in a Division I match. Ian Balfour and Colton Murch also won their singles matches for the Lancers (2-1, 1-1). Evan Whitten earned a win at No. 3 singles for the Falcons (1-2, 0-2).

Girls’ lacrosse

• Tatianna Irizarry had six goals and two assists to help power Ledyard past Montville, 21-2, in ECC Division II action. Maddie McLeod scored five goals, Helena Robinson had four goals and three assists, and Mackenzie Boyer added three goals and two assists for the Colonels (2-2, 1-2). Karissa Hochdofer and Bella Estelle scored for the Wolves (1-2, 0-2).

• Molly Page contributed eight goals and two assists for NFA in a 19-1 win over Woodstock in ECC Division I action. Alice Rourke had three goals and two assists while Leah Burchman had three goals and Hayleigh Young and Alex Tabilas each added two goals and two assists for the Wildcats (2-1, 1-1).

• Emma Logel scored seven goals to lead Stonington to a 14-2 win over Bacon Academy in an ECC Division II game. Shay Burnside had four goals and Zoe Flynn scored three times for the Bears (3-3, 3-0). Dempsey Russell and Addison Partridge scored for Bacon (0-2, 0-2).

Baseball

• Ethan Petrowski had a single, double, triple and two RBI in Ledyard’s 10-5 loss to Windham. The Colonels fell to 0-6.

Boys’ golf

• Gennaro Lavado shot a 42 to earn medalist honors in Griswold’s 7-0 win over Plainfield at Foster Country Club. Josiah Wells had a 46 and Kolby Mills a 49 for the Wolverines (2-0).

Boys’ volleyball

• Tyler McDermott had 17 kills, 13 digs, four aces and three blocks in Norwich Free Academy 3-1 win over Rockville. Game scores were 25-18, 22-25, 25-20 and 25-19. Bryan Contreras had 18 digs and Alec Farland added 36 assists for the Wildcats (6-1).
