    Lacrosse roundup: Conn College men top Coast Guard 10-7

    New London — The Connecticut College men’s lacrosse team closed out its season by beating crosstown rival Coast Guard Academy, 10-7, on Tuesday at Silfen Field.

    The Camels finished with a 5-9 record.

    Liam Horkan led Conn with four goals while Aidan McAvoy had a goal and three assists and JJ Ford added two goals and an assist.

    Noah Heller had two goals and assist for the Bears (2-11), who trailed 6-4 at halftime. Eric Key scored two goals and Ryan Hunter added one goal and two assists.

    H.S. boys

    • Mason Bussman had five goals and two assists in Old Lyme’s 14-2 win over Valley Regional in the Shoreline Conference. Macklin Cushman had four goals and an assist while Ben Goulding had two goals and Luca Signora, Alex Krol and Colman Curtis-Reardon each added one for the Wildcats (4-5, 2-4).

    • Noah Courter (four goals, five assists), Mark Sauchuk (five goals, two assists) and Ben Howes (five goals, three assists) powered St. Bernard/Wheeler past Norwich Tech, 21-4. Jimmy Niles added four goals and an assist and Will Sluggett had two goals for St. Bernard (6-3). Anthony Caisse had three goals and Landon Taylor had one for the Warriors (3-7).

    • Drew Sager scored six goals with three assists as East Lyme beat Woodstock 18-1 in an ECC Division I game. Jack Campbell had four goals and four assists, Gabe Hanney had four goals and an assist, Juan Morales Jr. and Anthony DiLoreto had a goal and two assists each, Nate Socha had a goal and an assist and Aidan Patterson scored a goal for the Vikings (6-3, 5-0).

    H.S. girls

    • Kylie Spreng contributed four goals and an assist to lift Montville past Bacon Academy, 10-6, in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II game. Karissa Hochdorfer had two goals, one assist and six draw controls and Emma Terris had two goal for the Wolves (4-4, 1-3) while Bella Estelle and Olivier Dozier added one goal apiece. The Bobcats fell to 0-7, 0-5.

    • Ella Curtiss Reardon had three goals and six assists for Old Lyme in a 17-2 win over Valley Regional in the Shoreline Conference. Maya LeQuire had four goals while Alexis Antonellis had three goals and two assists and Sydney Goulding added three goals and one assist for the Wildcats (7-1, 6-0).
