    H.S. lacrosse roundup: A day of milestones for Ledyard girls in win over Bacon

    Ledyard — Maddie McLeod scored five goals, including the 250th of her career as the Ledyard High School girls’ lacrosse team defeated Bacon Academy/East Hampton 18-3 Thursday in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II matchup.

    McLeod, a senior, is already the school’s record-holder for career goals.

    Sophomore Tatianna Irizarry scored 10 goals for the Colonels (7-2, 4-2), also reaching a milestone with her 100th career goal, while Helena Robinson had a goal and seven assists. Lorelai England made four saves in goal.

    Dempsey Russell, Lanie Mcllduff and Madison McMillan each scored one goal for Bacon (0-8, 0-6).

    In other games:

    • Ella Curtiss-Reardon had three goals and three assists in Old Lyme’s 12-4 win over Morgan, which kept the Wildcats unbeaten in the Shoreline Conference at 7-0 (8-1 overall). Sydney Goulding, Alexis Antonellis and Maya LeQuire each had two goals and Bella Ziegler made six saves in goal.

    • Gianna DiLoreto had two goals and Riddhi Venkatesh four draw controls and three ground balls in East Lyme’s 12-6 nonconference loss to Cheshire. Brielle Rheaume made nine saves in goal for the Vikings (3-7). Cheshire is 7-5.

    • Elle Reid finished with 11 draws and Skylar Frost had six goals and three assists for Williams in a 13-6 win over the King School on Wednesday. Ally Iacobellis added five goals and three assists and Maria Morant two goals, as Williams (9-4) outscored King 8-3 in the second half. Goalie Scarlet Kane made 10 saves in her first career start to earn the win.

    H.S. boys’ lacrosse

    • Mason Bussman finished with five goals and one assist and Colman Curtiss-Reardon had four goals in Old Lyme’s 18-12 victory over Morgan in the Shoreline Conference. Ben Goulding added three goals for the Wildcats (5-5, 3-4) and Luca Signora, Macklin Cushman and Alex Krol had two each. Old Lyme led 9-8 at halftime before pulling away with six goals in the third quarter.

    • Mark Sauchuk and Noah Courter each had four goals and two assists for St. Bernard/Wheeler in a 16-4 win over Stonington in ECC Division II. Jimmy Niles finished with three goals and an assist for the Saints (7-3, 4-0) and Ben Howes and Will Slugget each had two goals. Maclan Griscom had two goals for Stonington (6-5, 2-3).

    • Lucas Wanamaker had eight goals in Ledyard/Griswold’s 18-9 win over Montville in ECC Division II. Nick Favaloro had four goals and three assists and Brian Johnson four goals and one assist for Ledyard/Griswold (2-9, 1-3). Chris Baukus had three goals and an assist and Jayden Sherwood two goals and three assists for Montville (2-10, 1-5).

    • Tyler Gagliardi scored six goals to lift The Williams School to a 17-7 win Wednesday over Eagle Hill. Baker Katko and Henry Champagne had three goals each and Brendan Li and Marc Macera each scored twice. Henry Gallagher had eight saves in goal for the Blues (9-2) and Robby Shay had eight ground balls.
