    H.S. lacrosse roundup: Fitch boys have a banner day, clinch ECC Division I title

    Woodstock — Goalie Chase Beyus recorded his 400th career save and Boden Frost added his 100th assist of the season, as Fitch High School clinched the Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I boys’ lacrosse title with a 14-2 win over Woodstock on Tuesday.

    Frost finished with two goals and five assists while Roman Rich scored five goals and Tate Gordon added two goals and an assist for the Falcons (13-2, 7-1). Beyus made 10 saves.

    Eli Walters (three), Gabe Carey (one), Kai Gordon (one) also scored for Fitch.

    In other games:

    • Noah Courter scored six goals and Ben Howes had four, as St. Bernard/Wheeler beat Ledyard/Griswold 15-6 in ECC Division II. Will Sluggett had three goals and Mark Sauchuk had two for the Saints (10-5, 5-2). Nick Favaloro had three goals, Lucas Wannamaker two goals and Brian Johnson three assists for Ledyard (2-12, 1-5).

    • Williams School broke open a close game with five goals in the second half to beat Forman School 12-5 in the HVAL semifinals. Brendan Li had three goals and three assists for the Blues (11-3) while Tyler Gagliardi had three goals, Baker Katko two goals and Henry Champagne one goal and three assists. Williams will visit the Harvey School on Thursday to play the league championship game.

    Girls

    • Tatianna Irizarry scored eight goals to power Ledyard past Bacon Academy/East Hampton 18-2 in ECC Division II. Helena Robinson had three goals, including the 100th of her career, for the Colonels (10-5, 5-3) and Kaitlyn Sweeney had three goals and two assists, while Mackenzie Boyer had two goals and two assists. Madison McMillan and Cate Grasso scored for Bacon (2-12, 0-8).

    • Sienna Caron had four goals, three assists and 17 draw controls for Griswold/Norwich Tech in a 14-10 win over New London/St. Bernard in ECC Division III. Kaylin Stockwell added four goals and three assists for Griswold (5-9, 2-4). Keshvi Patel had five goals and Sofia Pero three goals for New London (0-15, 0-5).

    • Victoria Sturm had five goals and two assists and Quinn Brigham four goals in Waterford’s 18-6 win over Montville on Monday in ECC Division II. Katie Jamroga added three goals and Sadie Tiven and Adyson Wiseman each had two goals for the Lancers (13-1, 8-0). Kylie Spreng had four goals for Montville (5-9, 2-6).
