Old Lyme — Emma Bayor struck out nine in three innings, including the 700th strikeout of her career, as the Old Lyme HIgh School softball team blanked Portland 14-0 Friday in the Shoreline Conference.

Anna Eichholz was 4-for-4 with two RBI for Old Lyme (14-4, 11-2) and Bayor, a senior who will play collegiately at Division I Marist, had three hits and two RBI. Ava Roth and Elena Torres-Russell each had two hits.

In other games:

• Ava Waddington and Brielle Kenney were each 3-for-4 for Waterford in a 7-2 victory over Stonington in the teams’ 14th annual Play4TheCure game. Waddington had three doubles and two RBI for the Lancers (14-5) and Kenney had a double and two RBI. Michaela Miner and Cami Brown had singles for Stonington (11-8).

• ​Abby Robinson pitched a one-hitter, striking out 12, and Natalie Knowlton hit a three-run home run as East Lyme defeated Montville 14-1 in a game shortened to five innings. Grace DuBrava and Kinzie Donahue added three hits each for the Vikings (13-6). Izzy Mitchell homered for Montville (11-9).

Baseball

• Martin Light struck out five, scattering five hits to earn the victory and also added two hits and a run scored in St. Bernard’s 4-3 victory over East Lyme. Chris Tonucci squeezed in Colin O’Leary to break the 3-3 tie in the third inning, proving to be the winning run for the Saints (13-4). Alex Dreyfus had two hits and an RBI for East Lyme (12-7) and Dylan Joyce pitched a complete game, striking out five.

• Dan Hess had two hits, including a grand slam, in Norwich Tech’s 6-4 win over New London. Eddie Torres had a two-run single and Juan Santiago-Droz had a single and a double for New London (5-13), which left the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh. Norwich Tech is 9-10.

• Old Saybrook scored a run in the top of the ninth inning to edge Stonington 2-1. Aaron LoPresto and Finn Eck had two hits each, with LoPresto driving in a run for Stonington (11-8).

• Donte Valentine scattered six hits over five innings, allowing just two earned runs, in Fitch’s 5-0 loss to Woodstock Academy in Eastern Connecticut Conference Division I. Nate Wagner, Valentine and Trace Morales each had hits for Fitch (9-10, 3-5).

• Ben Frazier was 4-for-5 and hit a game-winning single in the bottom of the eighth inning as Old Lyme defeated Portland 3-2 in the Shoreline Conference. Frazier also had an RBI single in the fifth to start the scoring for the Wildcats (10-9, 8-6) and Jack Porter earned the victory with two innings in relief.
