    Noteworthy: The teams meet for the first time this season and are going in different directions. The Sun have the league’s best record (12-1) and the Sparks (4-10) are 10th in the 12-team league. Connecticut beat the Dallas Wings 85-67 on the road Saturday. Five players scored in double figures for the Sun, led by Rachel Banham’s 16. Alyssa Thomas had 13 points, nine rebounds and nine assists as Connecticut stayed undefeated on the road at 5-0. Thomas is in the WNBA in assists per game (8.2) and fifth in rebounds per game (10.0). Connecticut is 27-28 all-time against Los Angeles during regular season action, with a 16-11 record at home. The Sun have won nine straight regular contests against the Sparks dating back to the 2020 season. Los Angeles is coming off an 87-74 loss to the Atlanta Dream on Sunday. Rookie forwards Rickea Jackson and Cameron Brink each scored 16. Sparks head coach Curt Miller is in his second season after serving as the Sun’s head coach for seven seasons (2016-2022). He is 21-33 all-time with Los Angeles, including 0-3 against Connecticut.
