    Noteworthy: The Sun are 13-1 after beating the Los Angeles Sparks 79-70 at Mohegan Sun Arena on Tuesday. DeWanna Bonner led the way, scoring 16 points with seven rebounds. It’s the best start in franchise history through 14 games (previous best: 12-2, 2005). The Aces are 7-6 and the teams meet for the first time this season. Sun forward Alyssa Thomas is first in assists per game (8.1) and fifth in rebounds per game (9.8) across the league. She has also posted six double-doubles in 2024, good for fifth best in the WNBA. Brionna Jones is third in FG% in the WNBA, shooting 56.9% from the floor. As a team, the Sun are leading the league in net rating (13.1) and defensive rating (90.8) and are also fourth in the WNBA in steals per game (8.4), third in field goal percentage (44.6%), fourth in offensive rating (103.9) and second in second chance points per game (13.5). Connecticut is 33-21 all-time during the regular season against Las Vegas, including 14-13 on the road. The Aces won the 2023 regular season series, 2-1, and defeated the Sun in their most recent matchup on July 1, 2023, 102-84. Las Vegas enters the game coming off a 94-83 win over the Seattle Storm on Wednesday. Jackie Young led the Aces with 32 points, while A’ja Wilson added 27 points and nine rebounds. Head Coach Becky Hammon is in her third season with the Aces and holds a 4-2 all-time regular season record against the Sun.
