    Your show of shows

Storrs is technically in Tolland County, but let’s call it an honorary member of Windham County, because of its proximity and its array of things to do, thanks to its being the home of the University of Connecticut.

Among UConn’s most notable offerings are its open-to-the-public shows at the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts.

Just consider a few of the shows this fall:

Musicians Rhiannon Giddens and Francesco Turrisi on Oct. 8; they won a Grammy this year for the album “They’re Calling Me Home.”

Comic Fortune Feimster on Oct. 15.

The mask theater troupe Mummenschanz on Oct. 20.

The acclaimed modern dance of Garth Fagan Dance on Nov. 12.

Visit Jorgensen.uconn.edu for more details and for many, many more shows.
